The dog, called domestic dog or can, and in some places colloquially called chucho, tuso, choco, among others; It is a carnivorous mammal of the canid family, which constitutes a species of the genus Canis.
The domestic dog stems from a common ancestral group dating back approximately thirty thousand years, and has since spread to all parts of the world.15 The first fossil remains of dogs buried alongside humans were found in Israel, dating to from about twelve thousand years ago.16 Since then, dogs and humans have evolved together, both in African and Eurasian cultures, as well as in those that populated America and remained without contact with them until the fifteenth century.17
